Job Description:
SUMMARY: The Project Lead is the primary facilitator for all
aspects of the project, from the point of contract signing to
completion and closing of the project. The Project Lead is also the
primary point of contact for the customer, through the project
lifecycle, with the goal of minimizing touches by other team
members. The Project Lead's duties will also include coordinating
completion of project tasks with outside entities such as
Utilities, building departments, finance entities, internal labor
teams and subcontractors. -This role is assigned the most complex
projects due to technical knowledge and ability to effectively
handle that project internally and externally with the
customer.
This is a nonexempt position and is an individual
contributor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -
- Assume responsibilities of the Project Coordinator II and back
up support PCII level of complexity projects as requested.
- Facilitate fully designed and engineered projects of the
highest complexity projects, such as, new construction, ground
mount, high profile, and multi-energy storage units.
- Act as liaison between homeowner and project engineering,
effectively communicating technical language into easily
understandable information.
- Act as main point of contact with customer throughout project
life cycle (contract execution to final billing), providing clear
and accurate communication on key project milestones.
- Perform a project Kick Off that includes a Welcome Call to
confirm project scope and provide estimated project timelines.
- Present change orders to customer as necessary, document all
project updates within project management platform.
- Partner with internal staff to request funding at the
appropriate time on lease/loan projects and ensure related
activities are completed for meeting project schedules.
- Interface with Utilities for service upgrade coordination and
other services required on projects.
- Oversee subcontracts and coordinate subcontracted work with
subcontractors and internal staff throughout the project's
duration. -
- Coordinate with Field Operations and Labor Team, to schedule
manpower for required pre-installation work.
- Create and distribute Field Binder (documentation and
deliverables), prior to scheduling installation.
- Maintain project timelines and total project output volume to
meet monthly and annual goals.
- Effectively utilize database management skills within Task Ray
to ensure all tasks are done, documented and accounted for.
- Ensure project management platform is accurate and up to date,
for immediate areas of responsibility, on all assigned
projects.
- Confirm all project activity is complete, close and archive
project.
- Perform overtime work as required and requested by supervisor
to meet department and company needs.EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is
required, some college preferred.
- 3+ years of project coordination or management experience in
solar industry.
- Years of experience may vary based on completion of Baker
Training program.
- Proven experience leading the coordination of multiple projects
with success.
- Experience working in the larger construction industry is
preferred.
- Proven experience providing the highest level of customer
service, communicating with a variety of audiences.
- Excellent computer skills in MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook,
Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
- PM education or certification is a plusTECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Electrical project complexity - Electrical (LCTI), solar,
energy storage, new construction and ground mounts
- Ability to proficiently support various types of projects
- Aptitude for broadening electrical knowledge past solar and

The starting salary for this opportunity ranges from $24.00-$28.00.
Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based
on company and individual performance, short- and long-term
