Game Localization Coordinator

Job Description:

One of the world's leading mobile game studios is based in Metro San Diego hiring a Localization Coordinator.
The localization coordinator is an essential part of the game development process and is responsible for defining, reviewing, and preparing all necessary internal and public-facing language for translations. The base salary is competitive, benefits exceptional and has a huge variable compensation program on top of salary. And, you are eligible for all of these programs immediately.

Primary responsibilities:


  • Coordinate with multiple teams to gather requirements for technical documentation and local verbiage
  • Requesting translations in various formats and file types
  • Estimate timelines, troubleshooting, and delivering within timelines.
  • Create templates of work and document processes,
  • Assess risks impacting delivery.
  • Track and keep up to date with regulatory changes in the Market
  • Ensure verbiage in games meet all certification requirements.

  • Make informed decisions with little supervision.
  • Self motivation
  • A minimum two years of experience in localization is required, but 3+ years is ideal.
  • Experience with game or web localization in regulated environments
  • Experience with the following software packages

  • Windows OS work environment
  • Microsoft Office
  • Version control: P4V Perforce desired
  • Development collaboration environments: Jira or Microsoft Team Foundation Server desired
  • Web/Portal Management
  • Notepad ++




    Desired Skills


  • 3 or more years of localization experience
  • Experience in the online gambling industry
  • Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • GitLab
