Job Description:
Electrical/Avionics Systems Engineering SupportSumaria has an
opening for Electrical/Avionics Systems Engineer supporting the
developmental test efforts of the MQ-9 Reaper. Duties will be
performed in Poway, CA working closely with the Program Office and
General Atomics.Some duties include:Serve as an electrical engineer
supporting multi-specialty teams to achieve results specified by
program leadership in aircraft research, development, production,
and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities.Provide
technical assistance as required to resolve system engineering and
maintenance concerns.Monitor aircraft and component
Contractor-generated technical data, technical manuals, and
engineering changes for technical accuracy and adequacy.Ensure the
technical accuracy and adequacy of responses to TO 00-25-107
technical assistance requests from USAF maintenance units. The
Contractor shall be available to support the week-long 24/7
Emergency Telephone Support line on a periodic basis and be
available to commute to the General Atomics facility within 2 hours
of an emergency phone call.Assist in the performance of technical
evaluations on aircraft electrical systems, ground support systems
and SE requirements.Analyze and evaluate proposed design changes
and revisions. Review non-conformance reports and recommended
corrective actions for technical adequacy. Provide risk assessments
for aircraft and SE system deficiencies. Review and assess OEM
failure analysis reports for technical accuracy and adequacy.Assist
the Government by supporting mishap ground and flight safety
investigations. Review and provide recommendations for all major
and minor engineering changes.Support the formulation and
coordination of new electrical design specifications. Review new
electrical systems designs to ensure the designs are sustainable
and meet system requirements and USAF expectations.Support safety
and accident investigations boards and act as a liaison between the
USAF designated board and the system/subsystem
manufacture.Coordinate with Det 3 equipment specialists on all
design changes to ensure maintenance, SE, and TO impacts are
adequately addressed. Support TPWGs, as well as PDR, CDR and FDRs
for both hardware and software systems.Support AFLCMC/WII program
management during the parts procurement process for all design
changes by providing procurement and fielding cost estimates and
cost benefit analysis as early as possible.Desired
Education/ExperienceABET-Accredited advanced degree (Master of
Science (MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical
/ professional discipline being performed) or, Bachelors of Science
(BS) degree and 15 years of experience in the respective
technical/professional discipline being performed. Five years mush
be in the DoDTravel: YesSecurity Clearance Required: SecretPosition
Type: Full TimeWork Location: Poway, CATop salaries paid for
qualified candidates. Salary range will be between $100,000
$160,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.For
