Description:Synthesize software and controls requirements from vehicle system requirementsUse Model-based tool chain for controls development and complete software lifecycle developmentDesign model-based control systems for advanced electric vehicle supervisory controller system. Develop software per AutomotiveSPICE and ISO-26262 standardsPerform rapid prototyping of algorithms and testing on vehiclesPerform formal testing and analysis of models in MIL, SIL and HIL environmentsPerform integration of multiple software components and testRespond rapidly to customer issues and investigate vehicle control system problemsCoordinate software activities with manufacturing, quality and serviceFurnish technical support and guidance to other engineers and designersFROM RQ:Taking requirements, converting them into models, doing model-based developmentGenerating codeTesting it in the lab and on trucksDiagnosing controls issues (electrical) ISO26262, UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services)Skills:Matlab, simulink, ISO26262, J1939, Automotive software developmentTop Skills Details:1.Matlab / Simulink - running simulations / software development 2.C languages, but other languages are not ok if they have not done model-based development. 3.Automotive software development Nice to have:ISO 26262EV / hybrid experienceCAN-based networks, J1939Automotive spice or A-spice Powertrain or drive train experience (engine controls or transmission controls or body controls)Additional Skills & Qualifications:Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Controls/Computer Engineering5 years of engineering experience in a relevant field3 years' experience developing software using model-based development tools such as Matlab Simulink & StateflowStrong knowledge in development of control systems and specifications for purposes of automotive energy management and increased operational safety or performanceStrong knowledge in commissioning and calibration of vehicle systems, including control algorithms or other software systemsAbility to understand vehicle electrical design and schematic layoutTroubleshooting experience with tools such as oscilloscopes, multi meters, Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, and general problem-solving skillsA strong understanding of vehicle sensors and associated I/O interface Experience with CAN connected devices and knowledge of CAN communication protocol including J1939Data analytical skills in programs such as Excel and MatlabComponent specification, testing, calibration, and operational validation as it applies to advanced vehicles and power solutionsAbility to communicate effectively across disciplines and work levelsHigh level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficultHigh level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with othersHigh level of oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related areaExperience Level:Expert Level About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
