Palomar Health is looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join their Quality Resource Management team!Clinical nurse specialists are valued and recognized at Palomar Health for their expert clinical skills, advanced education, and training they bring to nursing practice.* The Clinical Nurse Specialist will report to the Director of Quality and Patient Safety, supporting the role to practice to the fullest extent of the CNS licensure in developing evidence-based clinical practice standards and ensuring safe patient care.* Palomar Health promotes a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Clinical Education dyad model to support staff in developing skills, competency, and knowledge to promote optimal outcomes for patients in our community.* Palomar Health values evidence based on practice and research and looks to the Clinical Nurse Specialist to serve as a catalyst to implement best practices across the health system.The CNS is responsible (in collaboration with Palomar Health Leadership and staff) for ensuring that the provision of nursing care meets standards identified in professional literature and the standards statements of professional organizations and state and federal regulations.Shift:* Full Time, Day Shift, 8 hour shiftsRequired License:* Current CA RN licenseRequired Certification:* Current CA Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification within 6 months of hire* American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare ProviderMinimum Experience:* 5 years acute hospital experience as RN; 3 years Clinical Nurse Specialist Experience* Pay Range $120-$150KMore about Us:At Palomar Health Medical Center, we are the #1 largest public healthcare district in California.
