Job Description:
Directs and coordinates the design, implementation, and
management of Nextgen Electronic Medical Records System, building
upon established protocols and Best Practices. This includes
coordinating all tasks, including workflow analysis, installation,
training, and maintenance of EMR into all new clinical
acquisitions, and enforcing project management, budget and change
control. Collaborative, effective interaction with Physicians,
Department Directors, vendors, and Executives is essential. *
Project Leader between physicians, patient support departments,
ancillary departments and technical staff in the implementation of
Nextgen Electronic Medical Records (EMR) into newly acquired
ambulatory clinics. * Leads workflow analysis, hardware analysis,
template/document design, problem resolution, and end user training
* Oversees hardware installation based upon clinical and system
needs. * Oversees patient data abstraction and establishes
standardized protocol. * Oversees chart scanning and establishes
standardized protocol. * Prioritizes workflow of individual
projects to meet implementation dates. * Determines and monitors
quality measures for projects based upon clinical needs. * All
projects have a completed accurate project plan from inception to
Post-Go-Live. * When necessary, coordinates the conversion from an
existing EMR to Nextgen. * Identifies and resolves potential
interface or system interoperability issues * Provide clinical,
technical, and analytical guidance to the project team. Will work
with management to ensure resources are assigned to meet human and
physical demands of project. * Will work with managers to identify
any equipment or interface needs for a project. * Will coordinate
and ensure end user training is complete and up to date. *
Establish and maintain an issue tracking system to provide
technical support to users. * Establish and maintain standardized
training protocols. * Will present ongoing evaluation of technology
solutions to the Executive Committee. Speak and read English at a
level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential
functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment
(i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and
computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word,
Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including
proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions
such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars,
opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon
employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the
essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a health-related field
or ManagementPreferred Education: Masters DegreeMinimum Experience:
7-10 years' experience developing, implementing, or supporting
business critical solutions. 3+ years in management/leadership
roles required.Preferred Experience: 7+ Years management experience
