To aid in this initiative, we're in search of a proactive, dedicated, passionate, people-focused, and business-minded Sr. Human Resources Generalist. Our next Sr. Human Resources Generalist will have proven experience in team member engagement, employee relations, performance, compliance & legal, benefits administration and onboarding/offboarding. The right fit for this role will be an HR professional who understands the value of building trust through open and consistent communication, relentless follow through, and showing a true understanding of the business and how HR can better partner with the organization for long term successful careers. You will impact the overall company culture as it grows and assist in impacting the new HR mission statement. To do this you will partner closely with the head of HR, Talent Acquisition leader, and L&D Manager. Team members who are motivated by the success of the business will also succeed on an individual level as company owners and part of Baker Electric's ESOP.Job Requirements:SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE: Education / Training / Work Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in all aspects of human resources Proven experience in an HR Generalist or HRBP role where you've proactively built relationships with and advised the Managerial level Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred, HR Certificate a plus Proven experience coaching managers, providing top-level customer service to team members, and encouraging adoption of company culture Knowledge and Skills: Human Resource disciplines including FLSA, worker's compensation, employee relations, performance management, sexual harassment, and leave management Elevated communication skills (inter-personal, listening, verbal, written, presentation) Positive outlook with professional demeanor Strong work ethic, that includes attendance, organization, accuracy, attention to detail and discretion Work Environment / Physical Requirements: Hybrid in-office and remote Able and available for occasional, regional travel WHAT YOU'LL DO: Responsible for all data entry, file management and record retention within the HRIS system. Collect, analyze, input, validate, administer, and maintain all employee data. Prepare HR reports, update data as necessary and communicate updates to all relevant parties as required. Manage the State Change process. Administer HRIS change transactions, prepare, analyze, and verify reports from the database. Manage, maintain, and administer the HRIS onboarding and offboarding process. Partner with HR leader to ensure the proper handling and documentation of employee relation issues, perform ER investigations Partner with Learning & Development to ensure required training is completed and assigned development programs are followed Draft, modify and implement company policies Own HR compliance items, such as, handbook, EEOC, CDC, COVID Develop and maintain relationships with internal clients (management, employees) Own new hire onboarding by confirming preparation for new hires, performing Orientation, following up on Onboarding and partnering closely with the TAM on new hire surveys Drive employee engagement efforts, such as, company events and perks Benefits: Annual bonus, 401k match, ESOP, PTO, medical/dental/vision, vehicle assistance and more!
