Job Description Scripps Mercy Hospital has served central and
downtown San Diego since 1890 and is the oldest medical center in
the county. The San Diego campus is located near the corner of 5th
Avenue and Washington Street in Hillcrest. Scripps Mercy Hospital
consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista. Scripps
Mercy Hospital San Diego’s campus includes the O’Toole Breast Care
Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center,
outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic
surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal
intensive care unit). This is a Full Time - Salaried - Day Shift
Supervisor, benefits eligible, located at Scripps Mercy San Diego
Campus in Hillcrest. /n This position is eligible for New Hire and
Relocation Incentives up to $7K and the management incentive
compensation plan. /n Schedule 40 hours per week with varied
shifts, Monday–Friday schedule, typically consisting of two 10-hour
shifts, one 8-hour shift, and one 12-hour charge shift per week.
Weekend call shifts are required approximately once every five
weeks. Schedule is flexible based on department needs. /n Join the

Services Department as a Registered Nurse (RN) at our Level I
Trauma Center, Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego, where the RN will
provide direct patient care within the scope of practice. With an
average of 250 visits per day, this ED includes 49 beds and
designated Psych and Fast Track areas. Additional responsibilities
include but not limited to: /n The RN Supervisor will play an
integral role in ensuring the safe transition of patients through
the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing
staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct
hand-off to next appropriate level of care ensuring the best

Qualifications: /n /n - Two years Emergency Services (ED) clinical
experience, one of which in a leadership role /n - Graduate of an
accredited program /n - Current CA State RN license /n - American
Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certification /n - TNCC within
the first 6 months /n - Requires excellent skills in communication,
problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through /n -
Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned
services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of
patient care /n /n Preferred Qualifications: /n /n - At least 3
years of experience in ER /n - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing /n -

$63.50-$91.97/hour
