registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. This contract opportunity in Santa Ana, CA invites
experienced RNs skilled in stepdown nursing to join a growing per
diem pool. Efficient management of tracheostomies and ventilators
is essential. Candidates must be prepared to work weekends and are
preferred if they can commit to a full schedule through late
January and early February. Responsibilities: Provide attentive,
stepdown level care to patients recovering from critical illnesses.
Manage and monitor tracheostomies and ventilators competently.
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal
patient outcomes. Maintain all required documentation and comply
with facility policies. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current RN licensure. Strong proficiency in stepdown unit nursing,
including trach and vent care. Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
certifications as required. Ability to work weekends and flexible
scheduling availability. Compliance with mandatory vaccination and
health screenings. Clear background and drug screening results.
Schedule/Hours: Weekend availability required. Preference given to
candidates able to maintain a full schedule through end of January
