Job Overview This is a union position. North County Serenity House,
A Program of HealthRIGHT 360 was founded in 1966 to provide
substance use disorder services in the community. North County
Serenity House provides a gender-responsive and trauma-informed
environment, using evidence-based and best practices that recognize
and account for the role that trauma frequently plays in substance
use and criminal histories of women. For clients with co-occurring
mental illness, we provide integrated substance use and mental
health services which treat both conditions as primary. Our
residential facility serves up to 120 women (with capacity for up
to 20 children under 5 years of age) seeking recovery from
substance use disorders. Assist Medical Director and/or treatment
team with medication management of participants. Assist with
maintenance of medication cabinet. Assist with dispensing
medication to consumers. Provide medication management education.
Conduct groups on medication management and health and wellness.
Carry a case management caseload when assigned. Coordinates with
pharmacies and other community partners to assist participants in
getting their health needs met. Key Responsibilities Interface with
multidisciplinary team in treatment planning and service delivery
Develop and assess effectiveness of individualized treatment plans
and participant progress Assist with the development of services to
meet the needs of participants Assist Medical Director and
Supervising Registered Nurse with medication management of
participants. Assist with organization and maintenance of
medication cabinet Assists in dispensing and tracking medication.
Coordinates pharmacy services Approves all requests to see medical
staff (MD, NP, PA) and ensures that documentation is in compliance
Oversees and maintains medical staffs' schedule Coordinates medical
appointments with participants to ensure that all participants have
physicals Oversee that all lab work received for medical staff
Facilitate medication education groups with participants Facilitate
health and wellness groups with participants Provide medication
education consultations and collaboration to staff and student
interns Provide basic nursing services as needed Provide injections
as part of the Medication Assisted Treatment Program Works as an
active team member and closely collaborates with internal and
external team members Performs crisis intervention and communicates
with treatment team as unforeseen situations arise Documents client
updates and incidents in the facility log daily. Attends required
trainings and meetings Education and Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities Education Required: Licensed vocational nurse in
California First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment CPR
Certified within 30 days of employment A valid California driver's
license and automobile insurance Desired: Knowledge of trauma
preferred Bilingual in Spanish Background Clearance Required: Must
not be on active parole or probation Knowledge Required: Experience
serving seriously and persistently mentally ill clients with
co-occurring challenges Experience in behavioral health issues and
systems of care Procedure manuals and an ability to interpret these
effectively to staff, family members, community providers, and
clients Medication Assisted Treatment knowledge Culturally
competent and able to work with a diverse population Strong
proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word
Outlook and internet applications Skills and Abilities Required:
Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility and reliability are
imperative Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Action oriented Strong problem-solving skills Ability to
distinguish between therapeutic and social relationships and able
to maintain clear boundaries Ability to work cooperatively and
effectively as part of interdisciplinary team and independently
assume responsibility Strong initiative and enthusiasm and

notes etc.) Experience working with criminal justice population
First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment CPR Certified
