Hello!I've read your resume and am interested in your unique skillset. -Please read this job description and consider working as an LCSW here at Neighborhood Healthcare, a non-profit healthcare clinic looking out for the under-served people of San Diego! - -These positions are located in Escondido, El Cajon, Hemet, and Riverside, -pays a base of $91,000 - $125,000/year ($43.75 - $60/hour), gives a sign-on bonus, and has great benefits! -Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care-Consult with primary care patients about behavioral aspects of their medical treatment.
-Provide brief psychotherapy as needed to patients and families.
-Respond promptly and with caring actions to patients and employees.-Acknowledge psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural beliefs and honor these beliefs. -
-Provider and Team support-Consult with primary care providers about behavioral aspects of their patients' medical treatment.
-Contribute to the success of the organization by participating in quality improvement activities
-Maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and the public.
-Be part of a team and cooperate in accomplishing department goals and objectives.
-Clinical Administration-Design, market, conduct, and evaluate health promotion programs for smoking cessation, weight management, stress management, diabetes, and other types of health promotion services.
-Participate in case conferences, departmental or agency meetings as required by supervisor. -
-Attend special training programs involving travel to other sites or through the internet.
-Actively participates in care coordination and collaboration with Interfaith Community Services shared patients.
-Display knowledge of normal signs of human development and ability to assess and provide age appropriate care.Safety-Follow all safety procedures as outlined in Neighborhood Healthcare's Illness and Injury Prevention Plan (IIPP) and report any injuries and/or unsafe conditions immediately.
-Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to safe work practices.
-Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
-Use appropriate body mechanics to ensure an injury free environment.
-Be familiar with location of nearest fire extinguisher and emergency exits.
-Follow all infection control procedures including blood-borne pathogen protocols -HIPAA-Maintain privacy of all patient, employee and volunteer information and access such information only on a need to know basis for business purposes.
-Comply with all regulations regarding corporate integrity and security obligations. Report all behaviors and/or activities that are unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful. -RequirementsSkills: Bi-lingual English/Spanish or English/Arabic may be preferred at some clinic locations. Demonstrated skill in providing psychotherapy and familiarity with medical service environments or provision of health psychology services such as smoking cessation, weight management, stress management. Ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team within medical care. Good written and oral communication skills. Legible handwriting and minimal computer literacy, but familiarity with one or more word-processing, spreadsheet or electronic medical records systems and ability to do some charting simultaneously while in session. Excellent customer service skills. -
Education: Must be licensed in CA as a -LCSW. -
Experience: At least two years of experience (pre or post doc/licensure) providing psychotherapy with children, adults and adolescents.
