Job Description:
The Nursing Support Staff V (NSS) position is ideal for
individuals who are licensed Certified Nursing Assistants. The NSS
V is a 90 day temporary position that pays $30/hr. As an Nursing
Support Staff V at Mountain Shadows, you will be assigned to houses
that are experienceing staffing shortages. You will perform
caregiver job duties as well as provide support to our nursing team
of RNs and LVNs. Some of the duties of the Nursing Support Staff
include:Providing assistance with personal hygiene such as
showering, toileting, grooming, dental care, etc.Providing skill
training to residents in areas such as self help and independent
living.Providing recreation and leisure opportunities and
encouraging socialization.Housekeeping duties such as cooking,
sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, laundry and other
cleaning.Administering medications.Administering G-Tube feedings,
breathing treatments and other medical procedures.Assisting the
nursing team with administrative tasks when necessary. To qualify
for the NSS V position, you must be able to work full time, be able
to work a variety of shifts which may include 12 hour shifts and be
willing to work on holidays and weekends. You may also be required
to work with residents who are positive for COVID. At the end of
your 90 day agreement, you may be offered a full time position at a
rate of $19-20/hr. based on your years of experience.
