The practice specializes in comprehensive eye exams, specialty contact lenses, and the latest lens technology to prevent eye diseases. With plans to open seven days a week and add an exam lane, the business is looking for an Optometrist to join the team of six employees.The practice is committed to providing patient-centric care and performs thorough exams to detect ocular conditions and systemic issues. The team leverages advanced diagnostic technology, including Optos retinal camera, autorefractors, digital lensometer, FDT visual field, slit lamp, phoropter, and BIO. Patients will enjoy personalized attention from the Opticians as they browse a wide selection of fashionable eyewear-plus, the practice carries eye drops and vitamins for a variety of vision needs, and an on-site lab is available to serve patients conveniently.
About the Optometrist OpeningEscondido Eyecare is seeking a well-versed Optometrist passionate about providing personalized and individualized care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care for all patients. You'll perform comprehensive eye exams, contact lens evaluations, and emergency eye care, including foreign body removal-approximately 20 patients are cared for daily. The working hours are Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour break at 12:30 p.m. After ramping up, the position will transition to four days a week and include Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.The practice is looking for a professional with excellent clinical skills who takes the time to explain to each patient why they are experiencing their symptoms and offer solutions to resolve their issues, including eye drops and vitamins. Educating patients on eye diseases prevention, especially sunglasses and blue-blocking glasses, is also essential.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and be willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

Minimum qualificationsOptometry license in the state of California.TPA certified.Preferred qualificationsGlaucoma certified.Escondido Eyecare is offering the following benefitsCompetitive base pay.24 hours of paid time off yearly; PTO accrues one hour per 30 hours worked after 30 days of employment; redeemable after 3 months of employment.50% off frames, lenses, contact lenses, eye drops, and vitamins.
