Merakey is currently seeking a PRN Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or LPT to join Merakey in our IDD Community based program throughout Escondido, CA.POSITION DETAILS

• Implements program policy and procedure according to program regulations and guidelines
• Provides overall medical support to individuals who receive services to include scheduling of medical appointments and follow up as needed.
• Works closely with Program Director and Administrator to ensure health and safety of individuals receiving services
• Provides on-site medical support to individuals
• Represents Merakey at all external meetings, conferences, etc. as assigned
• Knowledgeable and adheres to program regulations, assisting in preparation for annual licensure as applicable
• Maintains frequent contact with family members, as deemed appropriate
• Maintains frequent contact with external stakeholders as needed
• On-call responsibilities

    • This position requires a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
    • A minimum of one (1) year current nursing experience is preferred.
    • Experience working with IDD population in a community setting is preferred.
    • Experience working with challenging behaviors/MH issues preferred.
    • A current California Nursing License and a genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
    • In addition, a current and valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on the work location.
