injury! - Learning Services, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner is
looking for a Full Time Director of Rehabilitation to join our
outstanding team in our Escondido, CA location. - Collage
Rehabilitation Partners is a growing organization dedicated to
excellence, honesty and ethics in the treatment of our clients and
each other. - For more than 35 years, we've developed programs to
meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic
and acquired brain injuries. - We provide treatment for
post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral
issues and accident or sports-related head injuries. - Our CARF
accredited, post acute residential, vocational and outpatient
programs are offered in the Philadelphia, Pittsburgh regions of
Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Louisiana and Maryland, Georgia, North
Carolina, Virgina, Texas, Utah, Colorado, and California
Responsibilities
This position oversees and manages all assigned programs, and is
specifically responsible for program operations, development,
finances, personnel, governing policies and procedures. -
This position oversees and directs the development of clinical
programming, which includes supervision of clinical team, and
client treatment plans. This position is responsible for defining
and executing the clinical direction and vision of the program/s to
support all identified service lines. - In addition, this position
is accountable for developing, teaching and modeling a series of
"best practices" that is state of the art in the brain injury
rehabilitation business.
Essential Duties & Functions
- Ensures productive resolution of conflict; recognizes different
viewpoints; brings conflict into the open, and encourages those
involved to find appropriate solutions.
- Encourages staff development and ensures public recognition of
staff accomplishments when appropriate, (i.e., commendable(s),
staff appreciation, staff make a difference,
education/certification accomplishments, etc.)
- Works to develop leadership skills through participation in
Collage leadership retreats.
- Treats individuals fairly and respectfully and ensures that
opportunities are equally available to all.
- Demonstrates ability to build relationships and work
effectively with others at all levels inside and outside of the
organization.
- Keeps staff updated of changes in company policies, procedures
or other program/company related issues.
- Ensures consistent interpretation of and compliance with all
Collage policies and procedures by using the policy and procedures
manual, personnel manual, medical and emergency procedures
handbook, and other related materials as resources.
- Analyze data to evaluate, revise and develop systems and
procedures to enhance operations and clinical effectiveness of
designated sites.
- Oversees hiring and scheduling all staff to ensure adequate
coverage to meet program staffing ratios, client treatment needs
and accommodate any other scheduled activities.
- Responsible for compliance with policies and procedures in
human resource administration, legal considerations,
facilities/properties/vehicles management, compensation
administration and health and safety.
- Supervises or provides support to all staff including
therapists, nurses and Case Managers, Operations Manager, support
staff and LSTs in their areas of roles and responsibilities
utilizing best clinical and operations practices.
- Constantly evaluate systems and procedures to look for more
efficient and effective ways to run programs and develop other
services and new program ideas.
- Assists in Interviewing, follow up and finalizing hiring of all
applicants for full and part time positions.
- Oversees orientation and training of staff.
- Coordinates the admission process with Director of
Admissions.
- Performs Pre-Admission Screenings and writes reports
promptly
- Involvement in program development (who runs groups and
trains/supervises staff in curricula used in groups) in designated
programs and for the company as a whole.
- Coordinate "on call" system of coverage.
- Assure implementation of other governing policies and
procedures (CARF, DOH, etc.).
- Administrative duties to include compliance with state
regulations for specific licensing.
- Plan agenda and direct staff meetings.
- Meet regularly with the Vice President of Clinical Operations
to discuss program, personnel, budget, client and company
issues.
- Submit payroll weekly; maintain accurate records of staff
vacation, personal and sick time by Monday morning.
- Ensure all personnel files are in compliance with the audit
standards
- Approve all program expenses, purchases and
maintenance.
- Develop and monitor annual budget in collaboration with VP of
Clinical Operations
-Client Care Management
- Responsible for preadmission, admission and clinical direction
and management of each client's program.
- Direct provision of therapy specialty to programs when
appropriate.
- Coordination with the Operations Manager and Rehabilitation
Case Manager
- Communicate therapy plan to all team members
- Ensures program resources meet the clinical needs for clinical
programming. (ie clinical expertise, staff ratios and therapy
hours, patient equipment)\
- Oversee discharge planning
- Responsible for the final version of all reports, including
necessary signatures on assessments, reports and treatment
plan.
- -Responsible for the clinical integrity of all required
documentation through editing reports, developing and revising log
notes and strategies.
- Monitors client's treatment plan and progress towards goals,
providing problem solving, conflict resolution, and revision of
goals/treatment plan as necessary.
- Coordinates all consulting physicians and medically-related
services (pharmacy, DME, clinical contractors, etc.), and ensures
that they meet clinical/medical/qualitative needs in collaboration
with Case Manager.
- Remains current on critical documentation, reimbursement, and
coding issues and or industry accepted practices.
- Ensures the programs are equipped to handle a variety of
medical, nursing, and clinical needs and provides ongoing
direction, training, and support.

Qualifications
-A license and/or advanced degree in clinical management, PT/OT/ST,
nursing, mental health, behavior or rehabilitation along with a
minimum of five years experience in brain injury or related field
is preferred. Superior planning, organizational, writing, speaking,
and time management skills are also required. - Excellent
leadership, supervisory skills, communication skills and proven
administrative skills are essential. - Exceptional ability to
communicate with families, professionals and all staff is a must. -
Exceptional clinical skills as shown by the ability to resolve
crisis situations, evaluate client needs, formulate and monitor
treatment is necessary. Experience managing program operations
including budget, facilities management, policies and procedures
and regulations is needed.
