of utility services.About this RoleThe Technician/Mechanic must be
capable of performing required maintenance and service on PAR West'
Electric diesel and gas company vehicles. Task assignments are
directed by management to encourage skill development in a
productive manner. The Technician works under general supervision
of the designated Supervisor or Fleet Manager. Repairs will
typically be completed in the field or on the job site and the
successful candidate will need to exercise some judgement and
discretion in resolving issues or making repairs.What You'll
DoWorks in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate
compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, ANSI)Knowledge of and
ability to apply knowledge of computers (intermediate level)Safety
Sensitive PositionPerform thorough, accurate PM
inspections.Demonstrated mechanical aptitudeFollow company required
schedules and complete all required PM maintenance operations
including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustment, and tire
rotation.Perform complex operations including engine, electrical,
fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs and field tests.Diagnoses standard
mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer
when applicableIdentifies root cause of basic failures/conditions
and perform repairs as requiredReplaces defective components as
instructedDocument repairs and parts on work orders completely and
accurately.Performs vehicle maintenance and repair dutiesPerforms
standard vehicle maintenancePerforms standard component inspections
and repairsPerforms preventive maintenancePerforms facility
maintenance dutiesInteracts with team members to properly determine
nature of complaint once assigned a taskUtilizes key functions of
Shop Management System and electronic documentation
availablePerform emergency roadside services as needed.Complete and
apply required technical training as assignedPerforms other support
duties as required to support operations.What You'll BringFive (5)
years' experience as a mechanic in an automotive, school bus,
trucking or heavy equipment environmentOne to Five (5) years or
more combination of classroom training or work experience of
performing basic and advanced mechanical repairs and diagnostics on
heavy duty and medium duty equipment, including aerial/hydraulics,
and the ability to demonstrate proficiency with advanced
diagnostics, overhaul, and repair of all vehicle components and
systems preferred.Must supply your own toolsHigh School Diploma or
equivalent supplemented by specialized vehicle and equipment repair
courses applicable to diesel or truck maintenance and
repair.Vocational or Technical Certification, Post-secondary
vocational education (preferred)Highly thorough and dependable.
Work shift work and weekends as required. Perform all entry level
tasksMust possess state license as requiredValid Commercial Driver
License (CDL) Class A preferred.Job may require on-call duty,
extended hours, or weekend work.Effective interpersonal

for this position is USD $38.00/Hr. - USD $48.00/Hr. depending on
